HMG Ferro Zinc is a high-performance, water-thinnable rust converter designed to effectively neutralise rust on metal surfaces. As a single-pack material, it is easy to apply and offers excellent long-term rust conversion properties. Although it is not a substitute for blast cleaning, Ferro Zinc provides significantly better performance than conventional coatings on slightly rusted surfaces.
After simple wire brushing to remove loose rust, Ferro Zinc demonstrates a dramatic colour change from white to black, indicating that the rust has been effectively neutralised. For optimal corrosion protection, it should be overcoated with a suitable primer and topcoat system. Testing has shown that Ferro Zinc outperforms many competitive rust conversion products in terms of salt spray resistance and durability.
We try to process all orders within 24 hours from reception of the order. They are then sent via a next day delivery service. As such our delivery time from order is 2-3 working days. If the item is not stock or is currently out of stock, it may take up to 7 working days for you to receive your order. Please note that no orders are processed over the Weekend, Bank Holidays or Christmas period.
All orders are checked thoroughly before sending them to you. You may return stock items only up to 14 days from the order being accepted. However bespoke items that are made to order, or items ordered in for you, may not be returned unless faulty. We will only accept returns of these items if they are defective.
